SV Werder Bremen have completed a transfer coup on deadline day, signing Germany U-21 starlet Serge Gnabry from Arsenal FC.
"He is a young player who demonstrated his qualities - namely his speed and eye for goal - at the Olympic Games recently," said Bremen coach Viktor Skripnik. "I'm certain that with the game time he'll get, he'll be able to fulfill his potential in the Bundesliga."
"I'm looking forward to my time in Bremen," said Gnabry, who left the Germany Under-21 squad on Wednesday to finalise his contract details at the Weser Stadium. "It was important for me to come to a club that offered me the chance to play regular football. I'm confident that we can do good things here. I've come to Bremen to get playing time, to continue developing and to help the team."
